I had a twitter exchange the other day with BBC Scotland reporter Glenn Campbell. Campbell took issue with a tweet I had posted on Friday morning which included a short recording from an item he had broadcast on Radio Scotland’s flagship morning news programme Good Morning Scotland [GMS].
Did you watch Reporting Scotland on Tuesday night? Its headline story was about Labour councils attacking the Scottish government over council funding and the council tax freeze. It was a continuation from BBC Scotland’s radio coverage throughout the day.
London Calling: How the BBC stole the Referendum is a book written by G.A.Ponsonby. The book chronicles BBC Scotland output with respect to the broadcaster's coverage of Scottish politics and the independence referendum.
The book was published in April 2015, seven months after the referendum on Scottish independence. The cost per copy was £9.99 for a paperback and £1.99 for the Kindle version.
The Scotland Bill has now gone through Parliament. The Vow hasn't been honoured. Scotland is light-years away from the panicked pledges that peppered the media in the final days of the referendum campaign.
